Every year more than 200,000 American women are diagnosed with breast cancer. A majority of them will survive.
For new patients, the statistics give quiet hope but cannot erase the fear that comes with knowing that they are now part of the equation. Beyond the fear, many wonder if they will survive the disease as partners, mothers, and women.
This is the story of five women and their families at different stages of life and different stages of treatment learning to live with cancer.
